Violet Perfume: Nobody Hears You

Set in Mexico City, this drama follows the bond between two teenage girls, Yessica and Miriam. While they find mutual support and escape in their friendship, they come from very different domestic situations. Yessica lives in a volatile home dominated by her stepbrother and stepfather, whereas Miriam has a peaceful relationship with her mother. This connection is eventually destroyed when Yessica is raped in an act orchestrated by Jorge.

The film was written and directed by Maryse Sistach, following her earlier work, Dreaming About You. The cast features Ximena Ayala and Nancy Gutiérrez in the lead roles, supported by Arcelia Ramírez, María Rojo, Luis Fernando Peña, and Gabino Rodríguez. The production involved a credited crew of 45 people and a cast of 22 performers. It was a joint effort between production companies from Mexico, the Netherlands, and the Netherlands Antilles.
