Kevin & Perry Go Large

Kevin and Perry are teenage best friends whose summer has been spent in Kevin's bedroom, mixing tracks and dreaming of becoming club DJs. What they want even more is to lose their virginity, and they decide the party island of Ibiza is the place to do it. Their parents agree to fund the trip, but Kevin is horrified to learn that his mother and father will be coming along. Once on the island, the boys meet their hero, the DJ Eye Ball Paul, and two young women they both fall for, while their attempts at romance keep running into trouble.

The film is a spin-off from the television sketch characters created by Harry Enfield and David Cummings, who wrote and produced it. Enfield and Kathy Burke play Kevin and Perry, with Rhys Ifans as Eye Ball Paul, James Fleet as Kevin's father, and Laura Fraser among the supporting cast. Ed Bye directed; it is the earliest of the three films credited to him.

Released in April 2000, the comedy runs 83 minutes and was made in the United Kingdom and the United States. Its reception was modest: on IMDb it holds 5.7/10 from around 15,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5/10 from roughly 164 votes. A critics' rating of 3.9/10 from six reviews places it below even the middling audience scores.
