Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms

Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms is a Canadian action and science fiction film released in 1998. When funding for the UniSol program is cut, a group of mercenaries seizes control of a new line of Universal Soldiers for their own purposes. Their plans bring them into conflict with Luc Devereaux, a survivor of the earlier UniSol incident, who joins forces with reporter Veronica Roberts and with Eric, his brother, whose body has been kept in a laboratory and is brought back. Matt Battaglia plays Luc Devereaux, also known as GR44, with Andrew Jackson as Andrew Scott, and the credited cast numbers 24.

Jeff Woolnough directed the film, working from a screenplay by Peter M. Lenkov and producing credits that include Robert Wertheimer. It followed Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business in Woolnough's directing work. Made for a budget of 5 million US dollars, it runs 92 minutes.

Audience response has been weak: on IMDb it holds a rating of 2.8 out of 10 from 1,942 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 4.3 out of 10 from 73 votes. A film critics' rating of 4 out of 10 from seven reviews places it somewhat above the IMDb audience score but still low.
