• At the 55th minute of the film, when Neo jumps from the skyscraper, you can glimpse safety harnesses under his t-shirt.
• Before filming began, all actors in the lead roles and key members of the film crew were required to read Jean Baudrillard's book 'Simulacra and Simulation'.
• Prior to filming, the leading actors studied the basics of Eastern martial arts. This training lasted from October 1997 to March 1998. The actors did not expect such a workload and were fully confident that a few weeks would be enough to acquire practical skills.
