Kiddo

An eleven-year-old girl named Lu lives in a care home, where she imagines her mother, Karina, is a famous Hollywood stunt performer. When they finally reunite in the Netherlands, instead of a quiet meeting, Lu is swept into a chaotic road trip toward Poland in an old Chevrolet. The pair travel east in search of money allegedly hidden by Lu's grandmother, hoping the funds will allow them to stay together permanently. Along the way, they adopt personas reminiscent of Bonnie and Clyde, attempting to keep their fantasies alive while avoiding the pressures of reality.

Directed by Zara Dwinger, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Nena van Driel, the film features Rosa van Leeuwen as Lu and Frieda Barnhard as Karina. Other cast members include Aisa Winter, Maksymilian Rudnicki, and Lidia Sadowa. This drama and family production was a collaboration between Studio Ruba and production teams from Poland, the Netherlands, and the Netherlands Antilles.
