Hi Nanna

Hi Nanna is an Indian family drama centred on Viraj, a successful fashion photographer in Mumbai raising his six-year-old daughter Mahi on his own. Mahi has cystic fibrosis, and her curiosity about the mother she has never known pushes against her father's reluctance to discuss the past. When she runs away with her dog, Pluto, she meets a woman named Yashna, and that encounter draws the three of them into a shared reckoning with the family's history.

The film was released in December 2023 and runs 155 minutes. Shouryuv wrote and directed it, with Mohan Cherukuri and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala producing for Vyra Entertainments on a budget of about 8 million dollars. Nani plays Viraj and Mrunal Thakur plays Yashna, with Baby Kiara Khanna as Mahi. Jayaram, Shilpa Tulaskar and Priyadarshi Pullikonda appear in supporting roles.

Audiences responded strongly: on IMDb it holds 8.3 out of 10 from roughly 26,000 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 8 out of 10 from a much smaller sample of around 74 votes. A critics' rating of 6.5 out of 10 from six reviews is noticeably lower than the audience scores, suggesting the film connected more with viewers than with reviewers.
