Breakthrough

Set during the final stages of World War II in 1944, the film follows a German sergeant named Steiner. While stationed on the Eastern Front, he and his unit struggle against advancing Russian forces, including a failed attempt to destroy a railway tunnel. As the conflict shifts, Steiner becomes involved in a plot against Hitler and is tasked with coordinating a meeting with American forces to discuss a separate peace. After the assassination attempt on the Führer fails, he is forced back into combat during the Allied invasion of Normandy and the battles in France.
