Stuart Little 2

Stuart Little 2 continues the story of the small white mouse who lives with the Little family in New York. Stuart's life has settled into a routine, but he longs for company and adventure. That changes when he meets Margalo, a canary in danger, and takes her under the family's protection. When she disappears, Stuart sets out with George and the household cat Snowbell to find her, testing his courage along the way.

Rob Minkoff returned to direct, following his work on The Lion King and the first Stuart Little film. Michael J. Fox again voices Stuart, with Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie and Jonathan Lipnicki as the human members of the family. Bruce Joel Rubin wrote the screenplay, and Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher produced. The film cost about 120 million dollars and took in roughly 170 million worldwide, a modest return on its budget.

Audience ratings sit in middling territory: 5.5 out of 10 on IMDb from about 62,000 votes, and 5.8 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of around 2,600. Critics were notably warmer, giving it 6.9 out of 10 across 122 reviews, so the film fared better with reviewers than with the general audience.
