Billy Madison

Billy Madison is the grown son of a wealthy hotel magnate, and he has spent the decade since leaving school doing very little with his time. When his father decides to hand the family business to a scheming executive instead, Billy is offered one condition under which he can still inherit: he must go back and complete every grade of school, from the first year through to the end, in a fraction of the usual time. To keep what he stands to gain, he has to prove he can apply himself.

The 1995 comedy was directed by Tamra Davis, arriving second in her filmography after CB4. Adam Sandler stars as Billy and co-wrote the screenplay with Tim Herlihy; the cast also includes Bradley Whitford, Josh Mostel, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, Darren McGavin and Norm Macdonald.
