Set in Madrid, this drama follows the relationship between two women working as prostitutes. Caye is a local woman who keeps her profession a secret from her family. She forms a bond with Zulema, an undocumented immigrant from the Dominican Republic, after intervening to help her following a violent assault. Despite their different backgrounds and the prejudices of those around them, the two women develop a close friendship as they attempt to escape their difficult circumstances and seek a better life.
The film was written and directed by Fernando León de Aranoa, who also served as a producer. This project is the first in a list of four films directed by Aranoa, followed by A Perfect Day, Loving Pablo, and The Good Boss. The main cast features Candela Peña as Caye and Micaela Nevárez as Zulema, with supporting roles played by Mariana Cordero, Llum Barrera, Violeta Pérez, and Mònica van Campen.
Produced by companies including Canal+ España and Atresmedia, the film earned 8 million USD at the worldwide box office. It has been received positively by audiences, maintaining a rating of 6.9/10 on IMDb based on 5,900 votes and a 6.8/10 on TMDB from 100 votes.
