Tommy Boy

Tommy Callahan has spent seven years at college without much to show for it, and when he finally graduates he returns to his Ohio hometown to take a job at the auto parts plant his father owns. His father dies suddenly, leaving Tommy in charge of the business just as his father's new wife and her son arrive with their own plans for the company. With the firm in trouble, Tommy sets out on the road with a reluctant colleague to try to keep it afloat.

Peter Segal directed the comedy, following his 1994 feature Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult. Bonnie and Terry Turner wrote the screenplay, Lorne Michaels produced, and the film stars Chris Farley as Tommy, David Spade as Richard Hayden, Brian Dennehy as Big Tom Callahan, Julie Warner as Michelle Brock and Bo Derek as Beverly Barish. Rob Lowe appears uncredited. It runs 98 minutes.
