Dead End

Frank Harrington has driven his family to his mother-in-law's house every Christmas Eve for twenty years, always by the same route. This year he decides to take a shortcut through a dark forest, a choice that turns the trip into a nightmare. The Harringtons encounter a woman in white, an empty black car that seems to drive itself, and road signs pointing to a destination they cannot reach. What begins as a wrong turn becomes a struggle to survive the night and find a way off the road.

Dead End is a 2003 horror mystery-thriller directed by Jean-Baptiste Andrea and Fabrice Canepa, who also wrote the screenplay. It was Andrea's first feature, followed by Big Nothing in 2006. The cast includes Ray Wise as Frank, Alexandra Holden as Marion, Lin Shaye as Laura, Mick Cain as Richard, William Rosenfeld as Brad and Amber Smith as the Lady in White. It runs 83 minutes and was produced by Sagittaire Films and Captain Movies in the United States and France.
