Repossessed

Repossessed is a comedy-horror film about Nancy Aglet, who as a girl was freed from demonic possession by Father Jebedaiah Mayii. Years later she is a married mother of two, and the devil returns to claim her a second time, entering her through her television. While the now-retired Mayii declines to get involved, a younger priest named Luke Brophy tries to help her. His efforts draw the attention of televangelist Ernest Weller, who sees a live broadcast exorcism as a business opportunity.

The film was directed by Bob Logan, who also wrote the screenplay, and produced by Steve Wizan. It was made by Carolco Pictures and Seven Arts Pictures and runs 84 minutes. Linda Blair, who appeared in The Exorcist, plays the grown-up Nancy, while Leslie Nielsen plays Father Mayii and Anthony Starke plays Father Brophy. Ned Beatty appears as Ernest Weller, with Thom Sharp and Lana Schwab among a credited cast of 65.

Released in September 1990, the film took in about 1 million dollars worldwide at the box office. It received a critics' rating of 3.4 out of 10 from seven reviews, while on TMDB it holds 5.3 out of 10 from 390 votes, a modest audience score for a broad parody.
