Set in Montreal in 1991, this comedy drama follows Delphis, an eleven-year-old boy living in a poor neighborhood with an unstable family. To escape a world where he feels unwelcome, he adopts the persona of The Hurricane, using a lightning bolt symbol to mark his new identity. As he navigates the streets and avoids both the police and youth protection services, he experiences a series of formative encounters with various people and a commune of punks. His journey serves as a rebellion against social indifference toward marginalized individuals.
The film was directed by Ara Ball, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Tania Duguay. This production follows a short film created by Ball ten years prior. The cast features Justin Labelle in the lead role as Delphis Denis, alongside Larissa Corriveau, Patrice Dubois, and Antoine Olivier Pilon. Produced by Bunbury Films and Rebel Labs, the movie has a runtime of 109 minutes. While the number of ratings is very low, the film holds a 9/10 score on TMDB based on 2 votes.
