We Bury the Dead

Following a disastrous military experiment, the dead begin to return to life. Ava joins a recovery unit tasked with retrieving bodies in hopes of finding her missing husband. Although authorities claim the reanimated individuals are not a threat, Ava and her team soon discover that these creatures are becoming increasingly aggressive and violent.

Directed and written by Zak Hilditch, this horror thriller is the fourth film in his career, following These Final Hours, 1922, and Rattlesnake. The movie stars Daisy Ridley as Ava, with a supporting cast that includes Brenton Thwaites, Mark Coles Smith, Matt Whelan, Chloe Hurst, and Kym Jackson. The production was a collaboration between companies from Australia and the United States, including Screen Australia, ScreenWest, The Penguin Empire, and Campfire Studios.
