Short description
Following a plane crash, two colleagues are the only survivors stranded on a remote island. Linda Liddle, a resourceful employee, and her difficult boss, Bradley Preston, must set aside their professional grievances and personal conflicts to secure food and shelter. While they are forced to cooperate to survive the harsh environment, their struggle for rescue evolves into a psychological battle for control and dominance.
Directed by Sam Raimi, this film is the 16th in a sequence of 17 directed works, following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and preceding Avengers: Secret Wars. The movie stars Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien, with a supporting cast that includes Edyll Ismail, Xavier Samuel, Dennis Haysbert, and Chris Pang. It was produced by TSG Entertainment, 20th Century Studios, and Raimi Productions, with a screenplay by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
The production had a budget of 40 million USD and earned 94 million USD at the worldwide box office. The film is well received by both viewers and professionals.
