3000 Miles to Graceland

3000 Miles to Graceland follows a crew of criminals who use an Elvis impersonator convention at a Las Vegas casino as cover for a robbery. Michael Zane, newly released from prison, joins the plan assembled by Thomas Murphy, and the heist brings the gang a haul of $3.2 million. The partnership falls apart when Murphy decides to keep the money for himself rather than split it, and Michael, the only one who escapes him, goes on the run with the cash while Murphy closes in and the authorities pursue them both. Cybil, a single mother Michael met before the robbery, becomes entangled in his flight with her young son.

Demian Lichtenstein directed and co-wrote the film with Richard Recco, and it was his first feature as director. The cast is led by Kurt Russell as Michael and Kevin Costner as Murphy, with Courteney Cox as Cybil and supporting turns from Christian Slater, Kevin Pollak and David Arquette.

Made for about $62 million, the film returned roughly $19 million worldwide, a large shortfall against its budget. On IMDb it holds 6/10 from around 51,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9/10 from about 730 votes. A film critics' rating of 3.5/10 from 96 reviews places it well below the audience scores.
