History Is Written at Night

Set in Cuba, this drama and fantasy film explores the atmosphere of widespread power outages. As darkness covers the land, the flickering of fire brings forth stories from otherworldly realms. These electricity failures also trigger the resurgence of a protest movement that had remained quiet since the revolution, with citizens demanding the restoration of power.

The film was directed by Alejandro Alonso Estrella and produced by Estudio ST, La Concretera Producciones, and Vega Alta Films. This Cuban production has a runtime of 20 minutes.
