Short description
Carmen's caught in a virtual reality game designed by the Kids' new nemesis, the Toymaker. It's up to Juni to save his sister, and ultimately the world.

What's left behind the scenes

  • All scenes with George Clooney were filmed in half a day in his own home's living room.
  • Due to the actors playing in the final scene being busy with other projects, it was necessary to film them separately and then "assemble" them on screen using digital technology.
  • The indoor water park at the beginning of the film is Schlitterbahn water park in New Braunfels, Texas, USA.
  • Director Robert Rodriguez specifically asked for the role of the Warrior to be written for Elijah Wood. In 1998, Rodriguez's horror film 'The Faculty' with Wood in the lead role was released. The costume the Warrior wears on screen was originally intended for Juni. It was repainted a different color, after which it turned out to be difficult for Wood to get into, so it had to be taped to the actor in places. In the scene where Wood's character is on his knees and talking to other characters, the actor was simply looking at the ground. This created the impression that he towered over the others.
