The Parades

Following a destructive disaster, a mother named Minako searches for her missing son. During her journey, she discovers that she has died and is trapped in a world filled with restless spirits. She eventually joins other deceased individuals in an event called the Parades, where souls search for the people they hope to reunite with.

This Japanese fantasy drama was written and directed by Michihito Fujii. It follows his previous works, including The Village and Hard Days, and precedes several later projects such as A Light in the Harbor and You, Like a Star. The film stars Masami Nagasawa in the lead role, supported by a cast that includes Kentaro Sakaguchi, Ryusei Yokohama, Nana Mori, Tetsushi Tanaka, and Shinobu Terajima.
