Meat Puppet

Meat Puppet is a United Kingdom production that blends comedy, drama, and horror. The story follows Oz, an immature man who prioritizes playing with toys over attending his girlfriend's graduation. After receiving a mysterious package containing an old hand puppet, Oz puts it on and finds his soul trapped inside the foam object. As he watches his physical body die, he must confront his lifelong avoidance of maturity to save his life and his relationship.

The film was written and directed by Eros Vlahos and produced by Leah Draws and Masha Thorpe. David Jonsson stars as Oz, appearing alongside Gregg Chillin, Mairéad Tyers, and Karen Cass, with voice work by Chloe Christie and Paul Higgins. The short film has a runtime of 12 minutes and was produced by Runt Films and Maypole Production. It was released on March 10, 2024.
