Kartolo Numpak Terang Bulan

Kartolo Numpak Terang Bulan is an Indonesian comedy and drama set in Surabaya. The story centers on Cak Kartolo, an elderly widower who runs a boarding house for four students from different regions. The local community includes a neighboring widow and her son, as well as a couple who run a nearby coffee shop. When Cak Kartolo becomes ill, his daughter Sari travels from Jakarta to visit him. Her arrival sparks a competition among the four students who all vie for her affection, while her childhood friend is barred from seeing her. The plot follows this romantic rivalry alongside the father's struggle to recover and reconcile with his daughter.

The film was produced by Air Films and directed by Ainun Ridho, who also served as a producer. Ridho co-wrote the screenplay with Haikal Damara. This production is the second film directed by Ridho in 2024, following the release of Melodate earlier that year.
