Short description

An aspiring young writer tracks a literary titan suffering from writers block to his refuge in rural Italy and learns about life and love from the irascible genius and his daughters.

The nationalities of the main characters do not match those of the actors who played them. Harvey Keitel plays an Italian, but he is originally from Brooklyn, New York. Claire Forlani also plays an Italian, although only her father is Italian and she was born in London. Joshua Jackson plays a Briton, but was born in Canada.
