Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines

A small town in West Virginia holds its annual Mountain Man Festival at Halloween, drawing crowds of costumed partygoers for a night of music and carousing. Among those heading there are a group of college students, including Billy and the striking Lita. Their trip takes a bad turn when they strike a drifter with their car, and the man turns out to be Maynard, patriarch of a cannibal clan living in the surrounding hills. The family follows the students into town, where the celebration becomes something else entirely.

This is the fifth entry in the Wrong Turn horror series, and it is set soon after the events of the previous instalment. Declan O'Brien directed from his own screenplay, and it is the third film in the franchise he helmed, following Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead in 2009 and Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings in 2011. Doug Bradley plays Maynard, with Camilla Arfwedson as Sheriff Angela, Roxanne McKee as Lita, and Borisa Tyutyundzhieva, Paul Luebke and Rosie Holden among the supporting cast. Jeffery Beach and Phillip J. Roth produced, and the production involved companies in the United States, Germany and Bulgaria.

The film runs 91 minutes and was made for about 3 million dollars. Audiences have responded poorly to it over the years: on IMDb it holds a rating of 4.1 from roughly 26,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.5 from a much smaller pool of about a thousand votes.
