Arachnid

A group of people travels to a remote island in the South Pacific to investigate a deadly virus. Among them is Mercer, who is searching for her missing brother, and a team of scientists. Upon arrival, they discover that the virus has caused mutations, resulting in the presence of carnivorous, giant spiders with possible extraterrestrial origins. The visitors must fight for survival against these creatures in an abandoned settlement.

The Spanish production was directed by Jack Sholder, following his work on Supernova. The film features a cast including Chris Potter as Valentine, Alex Reid as Mercer, and José Sancho as Dr. Samuel Leon, with a screenplay written by Mark Sevi. The movie was produced by Brian Yuzna and Julio Fernández.

The film received a mixed to negative reception from audiences, earning a 4/10 on IMDb from 3,400 votes and a 4.3/10 on TMDB from 86 votes. These viewer scores are lower than the 5.8/10 rating given by film critics based on 40 reviews.
