Short description
After surviving an assault by the Le Domas family, Grace enters a new stage of a deadly game. Now joined by her estranged sister, Faith, Grace must protect her sibling while attempting to seize the High Seat of the Council to gain control of the world. As they fight for survival, they are hunted by four powerful rival families all competing for the throne and absolute power.
This action horror comedy was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. It is the eighth film they have directed together, following Abigail and preceding The Mummy 4. The movie stars Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton as the sisters, with a supporting cast that includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Nestor Carbonell, and David Cronenberg.
Produced by Searchlight Pictures, TSG Entertainment, Vinson Films, and Project X Entertainment, the film had a budget of 14 million USD and earned 43 million USD worldwide. Audience reception is generally positive, with a 7.6 rating on TMDB and a 6.9 rating on IMDb based on over 14,000 votes. These viewers rated the film higher than critics, who gave it a rating of 6.4.

- According to directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, over 1,230 liters of fake blood were used in the filming of the movie (including 530 liters used for the finale alone). For one of the scenes, the special effects department constructed 14 cannons that fired fake blood.

- Katherine Newton, who played Faith, is a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar and her work in the series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' (1997-2003). Newton found a photo of Gellar from the project's first episode and dressed exactly as Gellar had once been dressed.
- Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett were working on a film about sisters starring Katherine Newton and Samara Weaving when representatives from Searchlight Pictures approached them with an offer to direct a sequel to their own thriller "Ready or Not" (2019). In turn, they proposed incorporating plot elements from the film about the sisters into the sequel, to which the studio did not object.

- According to directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Masa Lishdej's character also exploded, even though she left the estate before the third act. For a while, they even considered showing her car on the side of the road after the explosion, covered in blood and body parts, as confirmation that Martine had failed to escape.
- Even before filming began, Samara Weaving suffered a back injury that left her unable to walk. She only fully recovered two days before the start of the shooting period. The producers were worried whether the actress would manage, but she took painkillers and her husband, Jimmy Warden, was constantly by her side, so everything worked out.
