The Safe House

Set in Paris during the May 1968 protests, this comedy drama follows a nine-year-old boy named Christophe. While his parents participate in the street demonstrations, Christophe stays in his grandparents' apartment with his uncles and his great-grandmother. The family's internal relationships and hidden pasts are disrupted when a prominent guest arrives seeking shelter from the unrest outside.

The film was directed by Lionel Baier, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Catherine Charrier. This project is the third feature directed by Baier, following Prénom: Mathieu and Continental Drift (South). The cast includes Dominique Reymond, Michel Blanc, William Lebghil, Aurélien Gabrielli, Liliane Rovère, and Ethan Chimienti.
