Thereafter

Following the mysterious death of her son Jorge, Carmen begins to uncover secrets about the close bond they shared after he left his father. As she investigates whether the death was a suicide, she encounters conflicting accounts of her son's life. These contradictions eventually force her to confront her own identity and perceptions.

The film was directed by Sofía Gómez Córdova, who also co-wrote the screenplay and served as a producer. This is her second feature film following The Blue Years from 2017. The movie is a joint production between Mexico and the United States and features a cast including Ludwika Paleta, Nicolás Haza, Luis Velázquez, Darío Rocas, Adriana Palafox, and Alan Olivas. This family drama has a total runtime of 100 minutes.
