Flowers of Ukraine

Flowers of Ukraine follows Natalia, a 67-year-old woman living in Kyiv who refuses to leave her garden plot despite pressure from property developers. This personal struggle to protect her land evolves into a broader symbol of resistance when her country is invaded by foreign forces. The film portrays her defiant spirit as she faces these larger conflicts.

The documentary was written and directed by Adelina Borets, following her 2024 film Beware of a Good Dog. Produced by Glib Lukyanets, the project is a co-production between Ukraine and Poland involving companies such as Eurimages, Di Factory, PISF, and Koskino. This comedy-drama with war elements has a runtime of 70 minutes and was released on May 22, 2025.
