Angry Squad: The Civil Servant and the Seven Swindlers

A tax official named Jiro Kumazawa is defrauded of a significant amount of money by a con artist named Makoto Himuro. After locating Himuro with the assistance of a detective friend, Kumazawa forms an alliance with the man who cheated him. Together, they attempt to recover one billion yen in unpaid taxes from a major corporation that has been evading its financial obligations.

This Japanese comedy and drama was written and directed by Shinichiro Ueda. It follows his previous works, One Cut of the Dead from 2017 and Tamae's Super High School from 2018. The film features a cast including Seiyo Uchino, Masaki Okada, Rina Kawaei, Aoi Morikawa, Takenori Goto, and Shusaku Kamikawa. The production was a collaboration between Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures, avex pictures, Nakachika Pictures, and pictures. The movie has a total runtime of 120 minutes and was released in November 2024.
