Wrong Turn 2: Dead End

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End follows a group of contestants taking part in a survival-themed reality show set in a remote stretch of West Virginia. Hosted by retired military commander Colonel Dale Murphy, the production places its participants in a simulated post-apocalyptic wilderness where they are meant to prove their endurance. The format breaks down when the group discovers that the backwoods around them is home to a family of inbred cannibals, who begin hunting the contestants and crew for food. What was staged as a game becomes a genuine fight to stay alive.

The film is a horror sequel directed by Joe Lynch, working from a screenplay by Turi Meyer and Alfredo Septién, and produced by Jeff Freilich. It was Lynch's first feature as director, followed later by Chillerama, Everly, Mayhem, Point Blank and Suitable Flesh. Henry Rollins plays Dale Murphy, with Erica Leerhsen, Texas Battle, Aleksa Palladino, Daniella Alonso and Steve Braun among the contestants, in a credited cast of twenty.

Made on a budget of four million dollars, the film received a limited theatrical release before reaching a wider audience on home video. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.5 from around 50,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 from roughly 1,600 votes. A critics' rating of 6.4 from nine reviews places it slightly above the audience scores.
