What's left behind the scenes
- The Toronto post office provided 20,000 real letters to Santa Claus for the scene in Santa's workshop.
- It was decided to use real snow, but due to an unusual thaw at the filming location, it had to be brought in by trucks from nearby areas. In total, 5 tons of snow were delivered in 100 trucks. A few days later, a blizzard hit, and the crew had to clear away the excess snow.
