Kronk's New Groove

Kronk's New Groove follows the former henchman Kronk, who has left Yzma's service and settled into a new life as the chef and owner of his own diner. When a message arrives announcing that his father is coming to visit, Kronk panics: he has told his father he is a success, with a house on a hill and a family. To keep up the story, he turns to the scheming Yzma for help with a plan that quickly spirals out of control, and it takes both old and new friends to set him right.

The film is a direct-to-video animated comedy from Walt Disney Pictures, Disney Television Animation, DisneyToon Studios and Walt Disney Home Video. Saul Blinkoff and Elliot M. Bour directed it, following their 2004 feature Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo; Blinkoff's next credit, later in 2005, was Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie. Tom Rogers wrote the screenplay and John A. Smith produced. Patrick Warburton returns as the voice of Kronk, joined by Tracey Ullman, Eartha Kitt as Yzma, David Spade as Kuzco, John Goodman as Pacha and Wendie Malick as Chicha.

Released on December 5, 2005, the film runs 75 minutes and was made with a credited cast of 24 and crew of 69. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.8 from around 18,000 votes, while on TMDB it scores 6.4 from just under 1,400 votes, so viewers there are somewhat warmer toward it. A critics' rating of 4.4 from seven reviews places it below both audience scores.
