A group of high school seniors face a problem that threatens their plans for the future: their college admission test scores are not good enough to get them where they want to go. Rather than accept the outcome, they come up with a scheme to break into the testing center that holds the answer keys and take what they need. The friends come from different backgrounds and have different reasons for wanting in, but the plan puts all of them in the same risky position.
Brian Robbins directed the film, which was written by Marc Hyman, Jon Zack and Mark Schwahn. It followed several earlier Robbins films, including Good Burger, Varsity Blues, Ready to Rumble and Hardball, and came before The Shaggy Dog and Norbit. The cast is led by Chris Evans, Bryan Greenberg, Scarlett Johansson, Erika Christensen, Darius Miles and Leonardo Nam, with 37 credited performers in total.
Released in early 2004 by Paramount and MTV Films, the comedy crime film runs 93 minutes. Its worldwide box office take was about 11 million dollars. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.7 from around 27,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.8 from roughly 533 votes. A critics' score of 4 out of 10 from more than a hundred reviews places it noticeably below the audience numbers.
