Holiday Mismatch

Barb, a recent retiree, joins a holiday committee where she immediately clashes with Kath, a longtime member of the group. Their mutual dislike intensifies when the two women discover that their children have begun a romantic relationship. Rather than reconciling, the mothers decide to work together to ensure the young couple breaks up.

This Canadian and American television movie was directed by Caroline Labrèche, who previously directed Radius in 2017 and later directed Merry Little Mystery in 2025. The screenplay was written by Sarah Wise and produced by Robert Vroom. The film stars Beth Broderick as Barbara Harrison and Caroline Rhea as Kath Stone, with Jon McLaren and Maxine Denis playing their respective children. Bruce Dinsmore and Amanda Ip also appear in the cast.

Released in November 2024 with a runtime of 84 minutes, the production was a collaboration between MarVista Entertainment and Neshama Entertainment. Audience reception was mixed, as reflected by a 6.3 rating on IMDb from 1,200 votes and a lower score of 5.6 on TMDB based on 25 votes.
