The Bodyguard

Zhong Xiaonan is a former security officer who takes a job as a bodyguard to protect Lin Zihao, the son of a prominent Chinese-American scientist. As Lin returns to China, he becomes the target of an international criminal organization seeking to steal groundbreaking research conducted by him and his father. Along with a police officer named Peter, Zhong must fight off mercenaries and thwart a kidnapping plot to ensure Lin reaches his destination safely.

The film was directed by Qin Pengfei, who previously directed Fight Against Evil, Fight Against Evil 2, Curbing Violence, Blade of Fury, Black Storm, Treasure Hunting, and Once Upon a Time in China. This project precedes his work on The Finder and Wings of Dread. The screenplay was written by Kong Lizhi. The main cast features Qu Jingjing in the lead role as Zhong Xiaonan, alongside Yuan Fufu, Yang Xing, Chunyu Shanshan, Ashton Chen, and Tan Kai.
