Short description

Primetime is a historical crime drama and thriller set in 2006. It follows television host Chris Hansen as he works to expose sexual predators through his show, To Catch a Predator. The story examines the tension between news reporting and entertainment as the program becomes a national phenomenon, exploring whether the goal of catching criminals justifies the provocative methods used on screen.

The film was directed by Lance Oppenheim, following his previous works Some Kind of Heaven and SPERMWORLD. It features a screenplay by Ajon Singh and was produced by Robert Pattinson, Brighton McCloskey, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. The cast is led by Robert Pattinson in the role of Chris Hansen, appearing alongside Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Maher, and Bokeem Woodbine, with a total of 69 credited performers.

Produced in the United States by A24, Square Peg, Icki Eneo Arlo, and Range Media Partners, the movie has a runtime of 110 minutes. Since its release on September 23, 2026, it has received a rating of 5.3/10 on TMDB based on 3 votes.
