To Be Ordinary is an upcoming family drama from Taiwan. The story centers on a twenty-two-year-old man who becomes permanently paralyzed following a car crash. To compensate the family, the older driver responsible for the accident provides them with a house and ongoing monthly payments. While the young man's mother maintains hope and his father focuses entirely on his care, the family finds a tentative sense of unity through shared nightly meals. Amidst his recovery, a physical therapist develops secret feelings for him. However, his younger sister remains aware that their comfortable living situation was bought at the cost of her brother's health.
The film is directed by Robin Lee, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ginger Wang. It is produced by Inch Lin and Alvin Chang through Goer Film Co., Ltd. The movie has a runtime of 112 minutes and is scheduled for release on November 13, 2026.
