Rains Over Babel

In a retro-futuristic city steeped in tropical-punk style, a legendary bar called Babel serves as a place where the living and the dead cross paths. Presiding over it is La Flaca, the city's embodiment of Death, who plays games with the souls of her patrons, wagering years of their lives. A group of outsiders gathers there, each with their own reasons for confronting her, and their fates collide as they try to outwit her and hold on to what they are unwilling to lose.

Rains Over Babel is a Spanish, Colombian and American co-production directed and written by Gala del Sol, who also produced it with Andres Felipe Hermida and Isabela Hermida. It runs 113 minutes and mixes comedy, drama and fantasy. The cast includes Saray Nohemi Rebolledo Ospino as La Flaca, Felipe Aguilar Rodríguez as Dante, Jhon Narváez as Don Alfonso, John Alex Castillo as Gian Salai, Sofia Buenaventura as Erato and Jose Mojica as Timbí, among 36 credited performers.

The film was released on January 2, 2026.
