Bart Millard, the lead singer of the band MercyMe, faces a personal crisis while experiencing professional success following a hit song. As he navigates the pressures of fame and his own inner struggles, he works to repair his relationship with his wife, Shannon, and his son, Sam. The family must also manage Sam's health challenges during a major tour. Throughout this journey, Bart forms an unexpected friendship with Tim Timmons, a new performer who joins the tour and helps Bart find a fresh perspective on his life and past.

The drama was co-directed by Brent McCorkle and Andrew Erwin. This is the third film directed by McCorkle, following Unconditional and Jesus Revolution, and the seventh for Erwin, following October Baby, Moms' Night Out, Woodlawn, I Can Only Imagine, I Still Believe, and American Underdog. The cast features J. Michael Finley, Milo Ventimiglia, Sophie Skelton, Arielle Kebbel, Sammy Dell, and Mark Furze.
