Sniper 2

Thomas Beckett, a former Marine scout sniper, is pulled back into service by the CIA for a mission in the Balkans. His target is a general accused of leading ethnic cleansing operations, and his partner is Cole, a death row convict offered his freedom in exchange for taking part. The assignment appears straightforward at first, but the situation on the ground soon becomes more complicated than the pair were led to expect.

The film is a sequel that continues the story of the character Tom Berenger first played in 1993's Sniper, with Berenger returning as Beckett. Bokeem Woodbine plays Cole, and the cast also includes Dan Butler, Linden Ashby, Marozsán Erika and Tamás Puskás. Craig R. Baxley directed, working from a screenplay by Ron Mita and Jim McClain; it was his sixth feature, following a run of action films that began with Action Jackson in 1988.

Released in late 2002 and running 91 minutes, Sniper 2 was a modest production with a budget of about 5 million dollars, shot in Hungary with American backing. On IMDb it holds a 5.2 rating from roughly 7,000 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 5.5 from a much smaller pool of 176 votes. The two are close, indicating a similar, middling response from the audiences who have logged it.
