Testimony is a documentary that follows a group of women seeking justice from the Irish government. With the assistance of the Justice for Magdalenes organization, the women attempt to hold the state accountable for the forced separation of families and the abuses that took place within Mother and Baby Homes and the Magdalene Laundries. Their efforts to gain recognition and responsibility for these human rights violations eventually lead them to the United Nations.
The film was directed by Aoife Kelleher, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Rachel Lysaght. It is a joint production between the United Kingdom and Ireland, involving companies such as BFI and Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland. The cast features Philomena Lee, Rod Baker, Frank Brehany, and Catriona Crowe appearing as themselves, while Imelda Staunton provides the narration. Released on November 21, 2025, the documentary has a total runtime of 102 minutes.
