Into the Blue

Into the Blue follows the life of Philippe Croizon, a metal worker and father who suffered a catastrophic electrical accident while working on a TV antenna at his home. After waking from a long coma to find he had lost all four limbs, Philippe began a new chapter of his life. The story focuses on his journey to overcome this disability and his romantic relationship with Suzana Sabino, who supports his ambitions. Through their partnership, Philippe pursues challenging athletic goals, including swimming across the English Channel in under a day.

The film was directed and written by Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, following her previous work on Divertimento. This Belgian and French production features Pierre Rabine in the lead role as Philippe Croizon, with Lilly-Fleur Pointeaux appearing as Suzana Sabino and Corinne Masiero as Valérie Carbonnel. A combination of comedy, drama, and history, the movie was produced by several companies, including France 2 Cinéma and Federation Studios. It was released on April 22, 2026.
