One Night Only

In a version of New York where single people are permitted to have sex only one night per year, two strangers named Allie and Owen meet. While both are seeking a meaningful connection rather than a casual encounter, a series of mishaps and misunderstandings keep them apart. The two spend the evening crossing paths and missing each other as they navigate the city, hoping to find a lasting relationship.

The film was directed by Will Gluck, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Travis Braun. This production follows Gluck's previous work on seven other films, including Anyone but You and Easy A. The cast features Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner in the lead roles, alongside Maya Hawke, King Princess, Molly Ringwald, and LeVar Burton.

Produced by Universal Pictures and Olive Bridge Entertainment, the movie had a budget of 25 million USD. It earned 16 million USD at the worldwide box office, indicating it did not recoup its production costs through ticket sales. On TMDB, the film holds a rating of 6.5/10 based on 139 votes.
