Rings

Julia grows worried when she cannot reach her boyfriend Holt, who has been drawn into a subculture built around a mysterious videotape. According to the legend surrounding it, anyone who watches the recording dies seven days later. To protect Holt, Julia watches the tape herself, taking the curse onto her own shoulders. What she finds goes beyond the deaths tied to the video: buried inside it is footage no one has seen before, a film within the film that points toward the truth about Samara.

A critics' rating of 3.2 out of 10 across 115 reviews places professional reaction below even the modest audience scores.
