Pearlescent Fog

Set in 1882, this historical drama follows Jelena Ilka Marković, a woman seeking retribution after her husband was executed without trial for his alleged involvement in the Topolska Rebellion. To avenge him, she attempts to assassinate King Milan Obrenović. The story tracks the aftermath of this plot, leading to her arrest and her eventual death in a prison cell several months later.

The film was directed by Milorad Milinković, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Dragoljub Stojković. This production is the second film in Milinković's career, following his 2002 work Frozen Stiff. Produced in Serbia by Telekom Srbija and Svemir Zeka Produkcija, the movie features a credited cast of 49 actors. The lead roles are played by Miloš Timotijević, Petar Strugar, Jana Ivanović, Zlatan Vidović, Miona Marković, and Luka Grbić. With a runtime of 140 minutes, the movie blends elements of crime and history to depict this period of political unrest.
