The Guyver

The Guyver is an American action and science fiction film about a college student, Sean Barker, who comes across an alien device that belonged to a murdered researcher for the Chronos Corporation. The device fuses with him, turning him into an armored being with greatly enhanced strength and speed. The corporation wants its property back and sends its mutant agents after him, while an FBI agent who witnessed the researcher's death follows the same trail. The film is based on a Japanese comic.

Steve Wang directed, working alongside Screaming Mad George, from a screenplay by Joe Woo Jr. and Jon Purdy, with Brian Yuzna producing. Jack Armstrong plays Sean, Mark Hamill appears as FBI agent Max Reed, and Vivian Wu, Greg Joung Paik, Jimmie Walker and Peter Spellos are among the cast. The film came first in the chronological list of features credited to Wang, ahead of Guyver: Dark Hero and Drive.
