Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon

Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang travel to a comic-book convention in California, not to solve a mystery but to enjoy the event and attend the premiere of a big-screen remake of The Adventures of Blue Falcon, the superhero series Shaggy and Scooby adore. Their plans change when a villain from that series, Mr. Hyde, begins attacking the convention with monstrous bats, howling hounds and a menacing green slime. Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby set out to investigate and trap the culprit, with Shaggy and Scooby drawing on unexpected inner superheroes to help save the celebration.

The film is a direct-to-video animated adventure from Warner Bros. Animation and Hanna-Barbera Productions, released in 2012 and running 77 minutes. It was directed by Michael Goguen, his second animated feature following The Batman vs. Dracula in 2005 and preceding Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Scarecrow in 2013. James Tucker produced. Frank Welker voices Scooby-Doo, Fred and Dynomutt; Mindy Cohn plays Velma, Grey DeLisle plays Daphne, and Matthew Lillard plays Shaggy, with Diedrich Bader as Brad Adams and Dee Bradley Baker as the Hyde Hound and other creatures.

Audience response has been mixed to positive: on IMDb it holds 6.6 out of 10 from around 2,600 votes, while on TMDB it rates 7.6 out of 10 from roughly 173 votes, suggesting a warmer reception among that site's voters than the broader IMDb sample.
