How to Shoot a Ghost

Set in Athens, this fantasy film follows two young people who have recently died. One worked as a photographer and the other as a translator; both felt like outsiders while they were alive. As they wander through the city among historical ghosts and the modern urban rhythm, they attempt to process their past mistakes and unfulfilled desires, eventually finding comfort in the nature of existence and what follows it.

The film was directed by Charlie Kaufman, appearing after his previous works Synecdoche, New York, Anomalisa, and I'm Thinking of Ending Things. The screenplay was written by Eva H.D., who also provides the voice of the narrator. The main cast features Jessie Buckley as Anthi and Josef Akiki as Rateb, with supporting roles played by Argyris Pandazaras, Nektarios Souldatos, and Felice Topi. This production was a collaboration between companies from Cyprus and the United States, including Green Olive Films and Nightjar Films. With a runtime of 27 minutes, the project involved a credited crew of 51 people.
