The River Train

The River Train is an upcoming Argentinian drama and fantasy film about Milo, a nine-year-old boy living in a remote village. Although he is a talented practitioner of the Malambo folk dance, he longs to leave his rural surroundings behind. He dreams of traveling by train to visit Buenos Aires, a city he has only experienced through movies. To achieve this goal, the boy must find the courage to embark on a solitary journey.

The film is co-directed by Lorenzo Ferro and Lucas A. Vignale. For Ferro, this is his second project following The Passion. For Vignale, it follows The Passion, Tripolar 360°, Gaspi's Return, and Gaspi in Spain. Both directors are scheduled to release Mi gran noche later in 2026, while Vignale also has Camino a la velada coming that same year. The production was handled by Primo Content, 1230 Media, and Cinco Rayos, with Tomás Grandio, Valentine Torre, and Casiana Vera serving as producers. The cast features Milo Barria in the lead role, supported by Rita Pauls, Mariano Barria, Lucrecia Pazos, Mailen Barria, and Diego Puente. The movie has a runtime of 75 minutes and is set for release on October 23, 2026.
